Chinese Shenzhen's foreign trade soared 13.5%
The volume of foreign trade of the city of Shenzhen in Guangdong province in southern China increased by 13.5% year on year to 275.2 billion yuan (about $40 billion) in July, Xinhua News Agency reported. In July, growth was 4.6 percentage points higher than in June, Shenzhen customs said. In the first seven months of 2020, Shenzhen's foreign trade grew by 1.6% year-on-year to 1.61 trillion yuan, city customs said. Private enterprises provided 973.9 billion yuan in the total volume of foreign trade of the city from January to July, which is 6.1% higher in annual terms. Shenzhen's foreign trade turnover with ASEAN countries increased by 11.9% to 248.4 billion yuan in seven months. It also became known about the positive growth in trade with other trading partners, including the European Union, Great Britain, South Korea and Japan.
